Editorial standards

Useful comparisons begin with visible evidence.

nsfwland separates verified documentation, editorial judgment, community signals, and hands-on testing so readers can see what each conclusion is based on.

01 / Scope

We state what was checked—and what was not.

A documentation-based review verifies product information against current official pages, help centres, release notes, API documentation, and policy pages. It does not claim that nsfwland completed a hands-on product test.

A hands-on test is labelled only when an editor actually used the product and recorded the plan, date, task, configuration, evidence, and limitations. Community ratings and comments remain separate from nsfwland editorial conclusions.

Verified sourceA factual statement supported by a linked first-party source.
Editorial assessmentA reasoned conclusion based on the disclosed evidence and decision criteria.
Hands-on resultA repeatable observation recorded from direct product use.

02 / Sources

Primary evidence comes first.

We prefer official documentation, product pages, pricing pages, release notes, repositories, policy documents, and provider status information. Independent benchmarks and reputable reporting may add context, but they do not replace the source for a provider-specific claim.

Every comparison guide links its principal sources. Time-sensitive facts such as pricing, model availability, allowances, privacy settings, and regional access are framed as checks rather than permanent promises.

03 / Evaluation

The question is whether a tool fits the work.

  1. 01
    Define the decision

We identify the user, workflow, constraints, and credible alternatives before comparing features.

  2. 02
    Check current capabilities

We verify important claims at official sources and record the date of the review.

  3. 03
    Compare material trade-offs

We focus on context, control, reliability, data handling, integration, cost structure, and review burden—not feature-count theatre.

  4. 04
    Publish limitations

Unknowns, plan dependencies, and facts that require direct provider confirmation remain visible.

04 / Updates

Freshness is part of accuracy.

Reviewed pages show when sources were checked. Material product changes, reader corrections, and provider documentation changes can trigger an earlier review. The modified date reflects a substantive editorial update, not an automatic timestamp refresh.

A page can be removed from search discovery when it no longer has enough original, current information to help a visitor make a decision.

05 / Independence

Payment does not purchase a conclusion.

Sponsored placements and commercial links must be identifiable. A provider cannot buy a positive assessment, an undisclosed ranking advantage, or the removal of a material limitation. Editorial pages can link to providers for verification without implying endorsement.

When compensation or an affiliate relationship applies, nsfwland labels it and qualifies the link appropriately. The same comparison criteria apply regardless of a commercial relationship.

06 / Corrections

Corrections are welcome and independently checked.

Readers and providers can report an inaccurate or outdated statement. Include the page URL, the disputed statement, and a first-party source that supports the correction. nsfwland reviews the evidence before updating the page and does not exchange corrections for links, payment, or account access.
